Lawrence, NY – LF Bioenergy (“LF”) partnered with Stauffer Farms, Marathon Petroleum Company, Liberty Utilities, Martin Construction Resource and HoSt Bioenergy Systems to make a $41,000 donation to the Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD) in Lawrence, New York. The donation will be commemorated tonight with a ceremony and dinner hosted by LF for all of LVFD’s dedicated volunteer firefighters and their families.

LF operates a recently constructed, state-of-the-art facility at Stauffer Farms in North Lawrence that turns dairy cow manure into clean renewable natural gas (RNG). “LF maintains a Farmers First philosophy and this is one of many ways we live by it: by being a good neighbor,” said Brent Lilienthal, President and CEO. “We’re invested in long-term relationships that benefit individual farm businesses such as Stauffer Farms, the surrounding communities and the environment.”

The RNG facility helps Stauffer Farms reduce its carbon footprint along with its water use and odor.

A treasured local institution, LVFD is overseen by President Kevin Blain and Fire Chief Richard Labier. “We are grateful that Stauffer Farms, LF Bioenergy and their business partners delivered when we expressed a need for new equipment to help us protect the people of Lawrence and the surrounding communities,” said Blain. “We also commend this group of businesses for their deep commitment to safely and securely operating the new RNG facility.”
